Translations are completed with the help of a database known as a CAT tool running in the background. CAT stands for computer-aided translation. We work mainly with SDL Trados Studio, the leading CAT tool in the market, and all our translators are skilled in the use of this tool. Your source text segments and their translations are stored in a database. When text segments that have already been translated in an earlier project are found in a new document, the CAT tool automatically retrieves the translation from the database. This does not only make the translation process extremely efficient but also ensures consistency of terminology across your texts.
We only consider a project completed when you and your target audience are happy with our work. All our translators are native speakers of the target language and have third-level degrees in linguistics and/or engineering or another technical field. LinguaTech translators work exclusively within their specific fields of expertise. You thus know that your texts are translated by a person who fully understands the content and is familiar with the technical vocabulary.
Our quotes are inclusive of all costs so you know exactly what you will pay before ordering.
The LinguaTech network comprises more than 1500 experienced translators with in-depth knowledge in their specialist fields such as medicine, engineering, business or marketing. For each translation project, we choose a translator who is a native speaker of the target language and has the relevant expertise in the subject area.
In order to produce top-quality translations, we cooperate exclusively with translators who are fluent in both the source and the target language, have the necessary specialist knowledge and are familiar with the terminology of the relevant field.
For each project, we identify realistic deadlines, put the necessary resources in place and deploy the best people for the task. We ensure proper localisation, take care of terminology management and perform a final quality checks. We always deliver on time.
When assessing an new order, we focus on two key issues:
Target group: Who is the audience group for the text? What are the specific translation skills required, for instance for scientific publications, marketing material or textbooks?
Localisation: Are there specific cultural differences to be taken into account in relation to the target language and/or country of publication?
Corporate identity comprises all means by which organizations, businesses, and manufacturers are recognized and distinguished from each other. Effective corporate communication often relies on the use of specific terminology linked to branding. It is therefore important that the message conveyed by the use of certain terms is not lost in translation. That is why we adhere to the vocabulary already in use by the client, and work closely with our customers to develop a consistent terminology that reflects their corporate identity, including suggestions for the translation of brand terms.
The more information we have about a company, its products and goals, the better we can translate its texts with a clear view on the target audience.
The last step in the project control process is of course a thorough quality check.
Translations are proof-read by a second native speaker, and all revisions are documented in our QA system and CAT tool. Translations in relation to software products are checked for correct localisation and then tested thoroughly.
As a rule, there must be consistency as regards the use of specific terms in a text. To achieve this, we use advanced tools and adhere of course to your preferences and usage. In other words, we take care of terminology management, based on your instructions and requirements.
